Are we as a nation seeing the proverbial story of Nero Fiddling while Rome burns? Can it be that no one on capital hill is actually listening to the voting public and have partisan politics taken over where common sense and a sense of what the common good is.
We as a nation are at fault for not being heard when it comes to politics on the hill. Too many citizens of the american population voted emotionally and not intellectually during the last election.
While it can be understood do to the historic nature of the election. We the people have to take responsibility for all of the faults in our nation today. It isn't the politicians who are making the tremendous blunders we are all being subject to. The blame has to sit squarely on the shoulders of the voting population.
Yes everyone's vote counts, however, voters need to take responsibility and take back our country by taking the time to express our intelligent observations to our elected officials in a more heated manor.
All too often as of late, the word revolution has been used by large scale media outlets, bloogers, and pudits, etc. While we do need revolutionary changes to the way we do business with our elected officials. We needn't take it to apocolyptic proportions.
The use of the phrase world war III has been brought to the forefront of many news outlets all too often. The country seems to be spiralling out of control. Our financial systems are in turmoil, politicians are walking in circles and seem to be speaking in tongues. With too many red-blooded americans feeling abandoned, lost and feel they have nowhere to turn for real answers. We all need to find a common voice and express our feelings by contacting elected officials repeatedly. Let them know they are out of touch with how we the people feel.
